The Museum of Aleppo
A eulogy of Saint Simeon
The site of Saint Simeon
No other objects were found on the site of Saint Simeon, except ceramics. They are kept today in the "Tchalenko house". Some pieces can also be seen at the Aleppo Museum. A museum of the site could actually easily be realized. The Eulogies, small objects for blessing which look like small clay balls engraved with small seals, found on the site, are not particularly beautiful. On one side, there is an imprinting of the palm, on the other side an image that always followed the same pattern: the column, the saint, two angels who crown the Saint, the scale with a small supplicant that climbs the column. All pilgrims had one.
