Visiting Saint Simeon

What usually strikes the visitor while strolling around Saint Simeon is the friendly atmosphere emerging from the site. Ruins can often give a depressive or forbidding impression; on the contrary, in Saint Simeon the visitor feels most welcome and this is largely due to the presence of the local inhabitants. The surroundings of Saint Simeon are partly populated by Druze villages.
